Good news for the friends and fans of Chris Laney!!
The new soloalbum by CHRIS LANEY is recorded and mixed. It is now being mastered and then the Mastertape is off to the recordlabel in Germany so we will soon have a relesedate to reveal. The new album is called ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT.
The new album follows the path of PURE, so to all of you out there digging PURE, beware cause Chris Laney is striking again with an album of high-octane kickass rocknroll … expect the album to come out end of April or beginning of May.

A new festival sees the light of day the last weekend of April in Stockholm. April 30th and May 1st bands like JANI LANE, KEEL, DIZZY REED of Guns´N´Roses and many more will hit the stage … and so will of course yours truly, CHRIS LANEY do !! Chris have invited his old bandmate Zinny Zan (Shotgun Messiah, Easy Action, Zan Clan) to join him on a few songs … be ware… there will be some serious rocknroll heading your way …

Today, January 9, the recordings of the new Chris Laney solo album started at Polar Studios in Stockholm. Just as last time Chris have invited some of his friends over to Polar to work with him on his solostuff. The new album is planned to be released end of April 2010.
DAY 1: Ian Haugland from mighty Swedish rockband EUROPE enters the Polar studios and records some killer drums on some of the new songs. Ian Haugland is an awesome drummer and this sounds great indeed

Chris Laney nominated for another Grammis

Chris Laney is nominated for yet another Grammis in the Swedish Grammis awards in the category “Best Hardrock/metal” for his work with CANDLEMASS album – Death Magic Doom. The album is recorded at Polar Studios by Chris Laney and also mixed by Chris Laney. In 2005 Chris Laney won a Grammis for his work with Candlemass on the album “Candlemass” (aka The white album).
Swedish Grammis Awards is an event by IFPI and takes place in Stockholm January 15th 2010

Chris Laney in writing-mode for soloalbum nr 2

Hi everyone!!
Chris Laney is hiding away in the dungeons of Polar Studios in Stockholm, he is set on writing-mode for solo-album nr 2 wich is planned to be released spring 2010. So far a few killer tracks have been written. Just as on his debutalbum as a solo-artist, he has invited a few friends over to Polar Studios. Just as last time, one song is co-written with Bruce Kulick (KISS, Union, Grand Funk etc). Another song is co-written with guitarist Conny Bloom (Hanoi Rocks, Electric Boys). Some other friends are on the way to Sweden to meet with Chris Laney in his song-writer dungeon. In a few days a guitarist from Los Angeles will land in Stockholm. We will get back with more information as the work progress. Keep your eyes open and ears unplugged

Hey!
Happy to say that we are done with the Crazy Lixx album.
Been working 30 days straight so not much time to blog.
Anyway, here I am, I am back!!! Ready to start pre production for the Chris Laney album #2!!
The same questions always surface… What to call the album, how should it look?!
Any ideas?? Gimme a shout, I love to get feedback in these matters.

I have so much stuff filmed, everything from my first day of recording “Pure” , first rehearsal, first gig… I think I have enough material to be sitting here for a week lol
